austin & malia!

Last weekend I finally got to photograph subject matter other than my own child!  Austin turned one in September so these pictures were a couple months over due! He is such a boy in every sense of the word and he surely gives his momma a run for her money!  He's wild!  His sister Malia is sweet as can be and recently turned five.  Its very apparent that she loves the camera!  Couldn't you just eat her up!?

little cubby!

Since Charlotte has been old enough to really play with toys, I've kept a basket of her toys on the bottom shelf of one of our bookshelves.  Recently, she's been climbing into the cubby where the basket goes and trying to sit up, but can't because she hits her head on the shelf above.  I rectified the situation by removing that shelf and now she loves to play in "her" little cubby.

four generations!

I am so blessed to still have my Gram in my life and even more blessed to have her in Charlotte's life.  When we had Charlotte's newborn pictures taken, I invited my Mom and Gram over so we could get a four generations picture taken but none of us were happy with how it turned out.  So, we decided to try again.  My mom was in town for the week so we drove out to my grandparents house for another try at getting a decent picture of the four of us.  It was quite a task setting up my tri-pod, getting my remote to cooperate and trying to get Charlotte to look and smile at the camera.  Luckily, Pap was behind the camera making us all giggle!  I think the memories made during this afternoon are better than the final picture turned out to be :)

blueberry hill park!

We have the cutest, nicest park right up the street from our house.  We don't go as often as we should but it was a nice Sunday afternoon, so to the park we went!  Charlotte loves the swing and it was her first time on a slide, which she also loved!

girly girl!

I think I have a girly girl on my hands!  When I was trying to entice her to crawl, I would set random toys a few feet in front of her hoping that would motivate her to start moving forward.  It wasn't until I replaced those toys with a few of my pretty, shiny perfume bottles that she actually crawled!  I have evidence on video!  And here she is, fascinated with one of my headbands.  A girly girl, indeed!

Oh, this little girl is growing and growing and her world just keeps getting bigger and bigger, as evidenced by her reaching up to the second shelf!

new shoes & a ruffle bum!

I love capturing simple, every day happenings while Charlotte and I are home together.  We got Charlotte her first pair of "walking" shoes and she has recently taken a serious interest in her books and loves to turn the pages.  She'll sit and "read" by herself for hours minutes!  If you look really closely, you'll notice that the book is upside down :)
